History
Cahan Properties was founded in 1986 and has developed more than 2,000,000 square feet of retail space with such tenants as Ralphs Grocery Company (Kroger), OfficeMax, Best Buy, Longs Drugs, Sav-on Drugs, and many others which are listed as "Tenants" within this website.
Principal
Robert M. Cahan has developed and managed an array of projects since 1979, totaling more than 3 million square feet of retail space. As President of Cahan Properties, Inc. since 1986, Bob has been a preferred developer for Ralphs Grocery Company, OfficeMax and Grand Auto. A co-founder of Cahan/Crisell Properties from 1986 to1994, more than 1,000,000 square feet of retail property were built. Prior to 1986, Bob was the Vice President of Operations and Treasurer/Director of San Val Development, a major Los Angeles area commercial development firm.
Associate Partner
Joseph F. Ham is a partner in many development projects with Cahan Properties, Inc. since July 1999, and has been involved in shopping center development for 18 years. From 1988-1999, Joseph worked for Ralphs Grocery Company or its predecessor companies, including Food 4 Less, Boys Markets, and Alpha Beta, throughout California and Nevada. Joseph served as Vice President of Real Estate for Ralphs and was responsible for investment analysis, purchase negotiations, procurement and entitlement of new markets built by the various Ralphs companies.
